DRY CONCRETE BATCHING PLANTS

Introduction

The dry concrete batching plant, also known as a transit concrete batching plant, weighs sand, gravel, and cement in weighing chambers using digital or manual scales. All ingredients are transferred to the mixer truck through a chute. Meanwhile, water is either weighed or measured volumetrically and added to the mixer truck through the same loading chute. During transport to the site, these materials are mixed in the mixer truck for 70 to 100 turns.

The advantages of the dry concrete batching plant include its higher capacity and lower energy consumption since the concrete can be mixed without using water. The cooperation between the dry batching plant and the mixer truck increases efficiency and saves time. The arrival of fresh concrete at the construction site shortens construction time and enhances productivity. Additionally, it consumes less energy compared to wet batching plants and offers the possibility to mix the concrete more effectively.
